Maxim Australia Celebrates Hot 100 At Halloween Bash With Special Guest Sophie Monk

Maxim Australia Celebrates Hot 100 At Halloween Bash With Special Guest Sophie Monk;  Marquee, Sydney – The Star...

Maxim Australia enjoyed its Hot 100 Halloween Bash - party at Sydney's famous Marquee nightclub tonight.

It was obvious to the trained eye that one or two VIP's - high rollers, hot models and blonde's a plenty were in town at the one time casino - now more an integrated entertainment and gaming hub, complete with nightclubs and entertainment attractions a plenty. Marquee is positioned as Sydney's hottest nightclub, and so far seems to be living up to the hype. No doubt the likes of The Tele, Casino News Media, Music News Australia, The Shout, Media Man, AAP and The Sydney Morning Herald will be reporting on this one.

Sophie Monk (wearing clothes...as opposed to no clothes like in the mags) was be the special guest at MAXIM Australia’s HOT 100 Halloween Party. Sophie made her only Sydney appearance to celebrate making the top 10 in MAXIM’s inaugural HOT 100 list, in which she is placed at number seven on the list.

Sophie Monk said: "I’d like to thank my mum for voting for me and apologies to my brother who will most likely buy every copy on the Gold Coast so his friends don’t see it," says Sophie. "I love that Australia is celebrating Halloween but I’m not sure how I’m going to make a pumpkin outfit sexy. I will try!"

MAXIM editor-in-chief, Santi Pintado, said this will be the magazine’s biggest party to date. "We’ve had such a fantastic response to the MAXIM Hot 100 Australian Women list, so we needed to make this event even bigger than our previous parties. We’re expecting a big crowd for this one. Should be notoriously epic."

Over 500 VIP guests partied through the night to the razor sharp mix of hip hop, old school RNB and mainstream hits by The Faders (Milly Gattegno & Suhana Lye) who have made a name for themselves bringing the party to the hottest clubs, tours and social events the world has to offer such as Chanel, Nike, Ray Ban, Oakley, Myer, Optus and private parties for Good Charlotte, Wu Tang Clan, Teddy Riley as well as Australia’s hottest festivals Splendour in the Grass, Good Vibrations and Future Music Festival.

Stay tuned and don't change your dial for more hot news on Marquee, Sophie Monk and friends, and many of the world's top and hottest entertainment attractions.

ROCK LEGENDS DEEP PURPLE AND JOURNEY ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF THEIR AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND TOUR!

They remain the quintessential vintage rock band — playing the songs the people love … pushing the boundaries as individual instrumentalists, soloists without reservation, yet seamlessly integrated into the overall sound and texture of a unified group. This is the foundation on which Deep Purple has always thrived  VintageRock.com.au

They put on a show that captured perfectly everything Journey is about: effervescent vocals, sing-along hooks, and most importantly, a big sound with big ideas – US Music Weekly

For release Wednesday, 31 October, 2012: Chugg Entertainment have today announced details of the rock ‘n roll summer bill of the year with legendary groups DEEP PURPLE and JOURNEY set to tour New Zealand and Australia in February/March, 2013.

DEEP PURPLE has sold over 100 million albums worldwide with iconic hits including Black Night, Highway Star, Space Truckin’, Hush, My Woman From Tokyo, Perfect Strangers and Knocking At Your Backdoor and Smoke on the Water, arguably the song known by generations of music lovers worldwide and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year.

Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey continue to travel the scope of hard rock — the textures and nuances of recent works are anything but thudding retreads. If you set a random play setting for the band’s entire catalogue, the result is one of the finest musical outputs to grace rock music.

Having amassed so many songs that get coined under the “classic” moniker, set lists have been a never-ending debate among diehards and newer fans. But DEEP PURPLEhas been more than in synch with fans’ tastes to remain a powerful drawing force since their formation in 1968.

Nominated for the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, DEEP PURPLE are currently preparing to unleash their latest album of brand new material in February, 2013.

Ian Gillan added “What a fabulous tour. I’m really looking forward to this and want to be in the crowd! Deep Purple AND Journey? Amazing!”

Joining DEEP PURPLE on the road for their first tour of Australia and New Zealand is legendary San Franciscan rock outfit, JOURNEY.

JOURNEY is one of the most popular American rock bands of all time, creating some of the best-known songs in modern music including Don’t Stop Believin’, Anyway You Want It, Faithfully, Who’s Cryin’ Now and Open Arms. Since the group's formation in 1973, the band has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 Gold and Platinum albums in the US with their Greatest Hits album going 15 times Platinum.

JOURNEY’s 2011 Eclipse World Tour was one of the band’s most successful tours ever, drawing nearly a million fans and ranked in the Top 15 Tours of the year. In honour of their significant and lasting contributions to live music and the touring business, and in acknowledgement of their commitment to the fans and the art of performing live, band members Neal Schon (lead guitars, backing vocals), Jonathan Cain (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals), Ross Valory (bass, backing vocals), Deen Castronovo(drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Arnel Pineda (lead vocals) were awarded the prestigious “Legend of Live Award” at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards.

Things are opening up everywhere we go,” states Neal Schon.  “Journey is a world band now”.

Chugg Entertainment’s Executive Chairman, Michael Chugg, said "To have two of the world's greatest ever rock bands on stage together is something we're so proud to be involved with.  These shows are going to tear the house down!"

Don’t miss your chance to see these two legendary rock acts share the stage in 2013!

Tickets to all shows go on sale on at 9.00am (local times) on Monday, 12 November 2012.

Elin Kling X Guess By Marciano Capsule Collection Launch

Elin Kling X Guess By Marciano Capsule Collection Launch; East Sydney, Australia ...

East Sydney, Australia, and yet another product / fashion launch, with the usual splash of celebrities.

Firstly, Marciano is a leading lifestyle brand by Guess, so with that out of the way, a bit of colour banter to keep you interested with a bit of back story...

It's said "celebrity sells", but time will tell in seeing just how long the product world will continue to roll out the celebrities. Clearly, Guess and friends are sticking with the formula for the time being.

Of course, you have the A list, B list and C list et al... this event was a mix, to be fair.  It's all really about selling product and trying to make it fly off the shelves in the end, and playing the media card.  A tad more interesting than reading fashion advertisements in the even thinning Australian broadsheets - newspapers and fashion magazine advertising doesn't come cheap either.  News coverage usually beats regular advertising, so the fashion and lifestyle product world will likely continue to hold bashes and parties while playing the celeb card for a while yet.

Next week Australia will get more brand launches, more fashion parties, with many of the usual suspect celebs coming along just to be seen and read about themselves in the paper - or online - whatever the case. Add a bit of gossip... you get a bit of news, and wallah - there's another PR campaign in the bag.

Fun Facts:

Guess (styled as GUESS) is an American clothing line brand. Guess also markets other fashion accessories besides clothes, such as watches, jewelry and perfumes. The company also owns the line Marciano.

The company began advertising in 1982, then later they introduced their iconic black-and-white ads in 1985.[3] The ads have won numerous Clio Awards. Their fashion models have included a number of supermodels, many of whom, such as Claudia Schiffer, Eva Herzigova, Valeria Mazza, and Laetitia Casta, first achieved prominence via these ad campaigns.

Marciano is an Italian given name and it originates from Latin Marcianus or Marcian (Saint Marcians) or "Martians" or Martianus. Also from the cult of Roman god Mars.

Elin Kling is a Swedish fashion blogger born in 1983 in Sweden. She runs a Scandinavian fashion blog called Style by Kling.

Elin Kling started off her career in fashion as a model, with her base in Milano, Italy. Over the years she has also worked within Swedish Television-business. Today she's also the editor of her own-found magazine Style By which can be bought online for iPad's, iPod's and iPhone's as well as in physical form in stores in Sweden.

Pacha Launches in Sydney

Pacha - the world’s most spectacular music and entertainment experience - is set to launch in Sydney on Saturday, 24 November and will take over Sydney’s ivy every Saturday night.

Much more than a traditional night club, Pacha Sydney will be a mad burlesque of circus, dance and sensory overload; a wicked romp through the dark alleys of the imagination. A world-class, specially appointed Pacha Sydney creative team will mastermind a concoction of theatrics, dance, music, light and costumes experience that will engage, entertain, and amaze.

Each unforgettable Pacha experience will feature a company of professional dancers, aerialists, street performers, psychedelic projections and lighting which will take over the surrounding laneways and turn every corner of Sydney’s only rooftop pool bar, ivy Pool Club, Changeroom and ivy’s two-storey open-air courtyard into a haze of activity.

ivy encompasses 10 bars over four spectacular levels with varying musical offerings allowing guests to transition between experiences. Whether you’re after a wild night of dancing amongst the throng of revellers, some privacy with table service in one of the 14 VIP spaces or an exclusive area to entertain large groups, Pacha has something for everyone.

Justin Hemmes, CEO of Merivale, says of the launch: “I am thrilled to be launching Pacha Sydney this summer at ivy. Bringing together theatre and music, we’ve handpicked the best in the industry to create this unique experience for Sydney that is sure to achieve the high Pacha benchmark loved by so many around the world – I can’t wait to open the doors!”

To ensure the experience exceeds any level set internationally, one of the world’s most acclaimed events and creative directors, Ignatius Jones, has been engaged as Co-Creative Director. His credits include Creative Director of Sydney and Vancouver Winter Olympics opening ceremonies, Vivid Sydney Festival and Artistic Director of Sydney Mardi Gras Parade. Joining Ignatius as Co-Creative Director is renowned theatrical director and producer Craig Ilott (credits include Smoke & Mirrors, La Clique Royale, and Hedwig & The Angry Inch). The formidable duo will lead the creative direction of Pacha Sydney with the support of a team of production and choreography professionals.

Ricardo Urgell, Founder of Pacha says, “As one of Australia’s best entertainment venues, ivy is the perfect location for Pacha. We share the same vision and production values for our large-scale shows with the Pacha team in Sydney and look forward to seeing Pacha brought to life.”

Pacha’s residency in Sydney will officially launch on Saturday 24 November in front of 3,000 invited guests and ticketholders. The launch line-up will be revealed in coming weeks but will include international headliners and a large mix of Australia’s best DJs who have played in Pacha venues worldwide.

For Pacha Sydney events from Saturday, 1 December onwards, doors open 7pm.

Club Forster gets Human Statue Bodyart Neon bodypainting, mermaids and Sonic Boom band

Human Statue Bodyart Mermaid dancers paints patrons, Sonic Boom performs at Club Forster, NSW...

Last night the Human Statue Bodyart team including two mermaids danced and performed bodypainting at mid-coast NSW club, Club Forster.

Neptunes Lounge nightclub situated inside the famous club came alive as creative artists Eva Rinaldi and Vince Cantali painted patrons, along with Mermaid dancers Victoria and Caitlin, who facilitated audience participation and before long the crowd of 500 was painting their own mermaid themed designs on each other.

The mermaid and bodypainting promotion has further cemented Club Forster and its Neptune's Lounge as the premiere entertainment venue and club in the region, joining the Human Statue portfolio which also includes iconic venues such as Crown Melbourne, Hilton Hotel Sydney and Sydney Opera Bar.

Human Statue Bodyart has further cemented its reputation as the recognised leader in the Australian bodypainting and human statue creation industry and Forster has earned some national and international news media coverage as a party town and exciting tourism hotspot.

Well done to everyone involved in the success of the Mermaid and bodypainting promotion at Club Forster, and we know the locals look forward to the next one when the mermaids swim back to town.
