Returning to Australia for his first full
national tour, 'I Am A Walrus', Russell Brand has been hailed as 'the most
exciting comedian of his generation' by Time Out Magazine, and will
perform in Sydney tonight.

Beginning his career as a stand-up comedian, Russell Brand shot to fame in the UK as the host of Big Brother's Big Mouth, a Big Brother spin off. In 2007, he had his first major film role in St Trinnian's. He became known in the US in 2008 after his major role in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Brand has since starred in the lead role of Get Him to the Greek in 2010. He also worked as a voice actor for animated films Despicable Me in 2010 and Hop in 2011. Brand's drug use, alcoholism and promiscuity have influenced his comedic material and public image.
Also an acclaimed author, Brand has written two books called My Booky Work: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Stand-Up, which was on The New York Times best-seller list for five weeks in a row, and the follow up, Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal.
