Hollywood, CA - Singer-songwriter and guitarist Orianthi topped off an event filled week with a sold-out performance at the Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip, on Sunday, March 17th. In six days, Orianthi has played three shows, two in Los Angeles to promote her new album Heaven In This Hell (which was released on Tuesday, March 12th), and one in Switzerland with shock-rocker Alice Cooper as his lead guitarist.
Orianthi's set at the Whisky A Go Go included a total of eleven songs, seven off her new album Heaven In This Hell, her platinum-selling hit "According To You" as well as "Think Like a Man" and "What's It Gonna Be" from her critically acclaimed album Believe. Dave Stewart (of the Eurythmics) who produced the album and co-wrote many of the tracks, joined her on-stage for "How Do You Sleep" and "Filthy Blues", while Jimmy "Z" Zavala, an in-demand blues harmonica and saxophone player (who toured with Etta James in her Roots Band) played blues harp on "Frozen", "How Do You Sleep" and "Filthy Blues" Other notable guest appearances included Trev Lukather (son of famed guitarist Steve Lukather) on guitar for "Fire" as well as Cyril Niccolai (of The Fairchilds) on guitar and Kaya Stewart (daughter of Dave Stewart) lending her vocals on "If You Think U Know Me". Orianthi and her three piece band (Brian Chiusano - guitar, Vivi Rama - bass and Mike Baker - drums) treated fans to a pulsating rock rendition of "Sex E Bizarre" (a bonus track off Heaven In This Hell that will be released in the U.S. late Spring) before an encore performance of Jimi Hendrix's "Voodoo Chile".

Following the 80 minute set, Orianthi hosted a meet and greet for over 100 fans and contest winners. Heaven In This Hell, which Orianthi describes as a "stylistic mix of voodoo rock blues, with a bit of country", was released on March 12, 2013 on Robo Records (distributed by Universal/Fontana).
