Def Leppard Australian Tour Dates 2011

Are you ready to get rocked? You better be because Def Leppard, one of the greatest rock acts ever, have announced their return to Australia in October.
The British heavy metal legends will kick-off their Aussie tour in Perth before making their way around the country including shows in Adelaide and Perth.
And in an extra special treat Def Leppard they will be joined by American rockers Heart, who will be playing Australia for the very first time and Oz rock legends Choirboys.
Triple M Sydney's Becko jumped out of his is seat when he heard the news the rockers responsible for all those classic anthems from the Pyromania and Hysteria albums like "Love Bites", "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Hysteria" and "Rocket" were coming down under.
"I was only seven when I was given a copy of Hysteria, my first album and most treasured of all time - I still listen to the original vinyl. I can't wait to see Def Leppard: the band that I grew up with and one of the greatest rock acts ever."
Dangerous Dave from Triple M Melbourne remembered: "In 1988 if your pencil case didn’t have an ACDC or Def Leppard logo on it you were destined for a lifetime of Rick Astley. These guys always impress on stage. I salute just one arm (Thanks Rick Allen)!".
Tickets go on sale from 9am Monday July 18.

Janet will be performing songs from her 35 number one hits. Originally slated as a world tour of 35 cities to match the 35 number one singles from her double disc album, NUMBER ONES, the high demand for extra shows has resulted in an expanded world tour with Australia now confirmed.

This tour will differ from her previous concert schedules in that she will perform music exclusively from her chart topping CD NUMBER ONES. There will also be a focus on venues that will allow Janet to be up close and personal in a much more intimate setting.  In each selected city JANET will offer something different to her performance so no show will be the same.  This tour is JANET more revealed, more intimate, and more personal than ever before. Don't look for special effects.  Just listen to and look at Janet, as you have never seen her before.

Tickets go on sale to the general public 9am Wed 3 August.

Dolly Parton Returns To Australia

DOLLY PARTON
THE QUEEN OF COUNTRY
RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA

“An artist is: who she is, who she thinks she is, and who her fans think she is; and the closer those three are together, the more complete that artist is. None is more complete than her.”
KENNY ROGERS on Dolly Parton
With rumours flying about for months now, Chugg Entertainment are today thrilled to confirm that the legendary Dolly Parton will be returning to Australia for an almighty string of concerts this November.
The tour begins in Perth on Tuesday 8 November at Burswood Dome, before heading to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre for a show on Saturday 12 November. The show rolls east to Sydney at Acer Arena on Tuesday 15 November, and then onwards to wine country for an outdoor show at Hope Estate in the Hunter Valley on Saturday 19 November. Dolly and her band then head to Melbourne for shows on Tuesday 22 & Wednesday 23 November at Rod Laver Arena before finishing up at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday 25 & Saturday 26 November.
How does one begin to describe an icon like Dolly Parton? Singer-songwriter, author, multi-instrumentalist, actress, philanthropist, businesswoman; this mighty talent’s list of credentials is worth every ounce of veneration she receives.
Hailed as ‘The Queen of Country Music,’ her four and a half decade career since her national chart debut has seen her become one of the most successful female artists in the history of the country genre, with twenty-five number one singles, and a record forty-one top 10 country albums. In addition to her illustrious music career, Parton’s foray into other ventures include a self-titled theme park, television variety shows and several successful films – including an Oscar nomination for her role in 9 to 5 – all of which have cemented her status as an American superstar.
Australian fans will be delighted when the Smoky Mountain Songbird takes the stage and shows us exactly why she is such a legend. With hits like “9 To 5”, “Here You Come Again”, “Jolene”, and of course the incomparable “I Will Always Love You”, audiences are guaranteed to see the show of a lifetime. With all new sets, costumes and even new music from her forthcoming album ‘Better Day’ to be released later this year, it is sure to make an evening spent with Dolly Parton a night to remember. The two and a half hour show will be a deeply personal affair as Dolly lets the audience inside; telling stories and interacting with fans in a wholly new show featuring a brand new production, lighting and video.
Dolly Parton has written over 4,000 songs, had numerous number 1 hits and won countless Grammy, CMA and ACM awards, not to mention enough gold and platinum albums to make even the folks at “Tiffany’s” blush.
Dolly Parton is the most honoured female country performer of all time. Achieving 25 RIAA certified gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards, she has had 25 songs reach number 1 on the Billboard Country charts, a record for a female artist. She has 41 career top 10 country albums, a record for any artist, and she has 110 career charted singles over the past 40 years. All-inclusive sales of singles, albums, hits collections, paid digital downloads and compilation usage during her Hall of Fame career have reportedly topped a staggering 100 million records world-wide.
She has garnered 7 Grammy Awards, 10 Country Music Association Awards, 5 Academy of Country Music Awards, 3 American Music Awards and is one of only five female artists to win the Country Music Association’s Entertainer of the Year Award.
Yet with all of the national and international recognition given to her, Dolly Parton calls the bronze statue of her, which stands on the courthouse lawn in her hometown of Sevierville, Tennessee, her “greatest honour, because it came from the people who know me.”
In 1986, Dolly saw a cherished dream become a reality with the opening of her own theme park called Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains. The state’s number one tourist attraction, Dollywood was selected by the theme park industry as one of the top three theme parks in the world in 2006 and recently won its 17 Brass ring awards and the coveted ‘Applause Award’ for Best Theme Park in the World.
In 1988, she began the Dollywood Foundation to inspire children in her home community to dream more, learn more, do more and care more. Currently the foundation partners with local sponsors to provide the Dolly Parton Imagination Library across America, Canada and now across Europe, by giving every preschool child a book each month from the time he or she is born until the child reaches kindergarten. With the help of local sponsors, this program has expanded to over 800 communities in 41 states. Dolly says, “My dad was prouder of me for this program than for my music career. He thought it was grand that all the kids called me the Book Lady.”
Always dreaming and always looking forward, Dolly is busier than ever, working on various children’s projects, working on a new movie project and writing and recording, these projects are just a few of her many interests at the moment.  The phenomenon of Dolly Parton continues to flourish, as she remains one of the World’s true superstars.
Parton’s arrival on Australian shores in November this year, will be her first in nearly thirty years and is certain to be the milestone event of the 2011 touring calendar.
Dolly Parton fans with Visa Credit, Debit or Prepaid cards can gain access to presale tickets through Visa Entertainment. Advance Dolly Parton tour tickets across all seating categories, and reserved access to premium seats, will be available from 9.00am (local time), Tuesday 14 June 2011 until 5.00pm (local time), Thursday 16 June 2011 or until tickets sell out.  For more information on the Visa pre sale visit Visa Entertainment. Visa Entertainment members purchasing through the pre-sale will aslo be granted complimentary membership to Dolly Parton's "Dollyite" fan club, offering access to exclusive content and promotions.

SHOCK ROCKER, ALICE COOPER CONFIRMS SHOWS FOR SOUNDWAVE REVOLUTION

SHOCK ROCKER, ALICE COOPER
CONFIRMS HEADLINE THEATRE SHOWS FOR SOUNDWAVE REVOLUTION
With an infamous stage show that has been known to feature anything from simulated executions to chopped up baby dolls or the presence of live boa constrictors, guillotines, zombies and chickens, Alice Cooper's concert performances are nothing short of iconic and Chugg Entertainment are thrilled to announce headline shows for the master of shock rock this September.
As an artist, he has both been influenced by and then influenced horror movies and garage rock, to pioneer a spectacular theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock and Alice Cooper is the master of the genre.
His fans range from Salvador Dali to Bob Dylan to Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl and Johnny Depp, who took the stage with Alice Cooper and his band at the legendary "100 Club" in London last month, and without Alice Cooper, the music world may never have seen likes of the New York Dolls, KISS, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Motley Crue, Slipknot or Rob Zombie.
The iconic performer, who invented the concept of the rock concert as theatre, is returning to Australia for the first time since 2009 to tour alongside Van Halen, Bad Religion, Hole and more, as part of the Soundwave Revolution Festival and will play just three side shows as part of his visit, two in Australia and one in New Zealand; at The Trusts Stadium in Auckland on Thursday 22 September, the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on Monday 26 September and the Palais Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday 29 September. Tickets for all the Sydney and Melborune sideshows go on sale on Thursday 14July, and tickets for the Auckland show go onsale Monday 25 July.
The highly acclaimed, Sydney based 5 piece rock band Syndicate will join Alice Cooper for his Australian sideshows in September, following their own successful local tour and the release of their debut self titled album, recorded in Los Angeles.
Since his last visit to Australia, he was inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame by fellow horror-rocker Rob Zombie at an unforgettable event in New York City, which saw Alice Cooper arrive in a blood-splattered shirt with a giant albino boa constrictor wrapped around his neck. The following week he was presented with the "Golden God Award" at the Revolver Golden Gods in Los Angeles, and then last month he received an "Icon" award in London from Kerrang Magazine.
Much more than just a successful rock star, musician and performing artist, Alice Cooper is also well known to Australian fans for his daily radio program on Sydney's 95.3FM & Melbourne's 91.5FM, which he personally describes as "the most psychotic prolific mutant on the radio."
This September tour also marks the release of Alice Cooper's latest album, Welcome 2 My Nightmare, a long overdue follow up to the acclaimed Welcome to My Nightmare 1979 release. The album reunites Alice with producer Bob Ezrin and features contributions from Rob Zombie, Vince Gill, Buckcherry's Keith Nelson and more, and is described by Alice as a "Shreikquel," sure to thrill fans and critics alike.
With these most intimate shows - expect the unexpected from what Rolling Stone can only describe as the world's most "beloved heavy metal entertainer."
