Kate Bosworth: Exclusive appearance at MYER Sydney City




Myer and SKII are excited to welcome the face of SKII, American beauty Kate Bosworth, to Myer Sydney City for an in-store appearance this week.

Kate's exclusive appearance at Myer Sydney City will be held on  Friday 12th October at 1:00 pm on level 1. 

Kate Bosworth will be interviewed on stage by style and pop culture commentator, Melissa Hoyer, on her support of the luxurious brand, SKII, her favourite products, busy lifestyle and the lessons she's learned about skin care and cosmetics!

Kate Bosworth has been announced as the newest ambassador for luxury and not so cheap skincare brand SK-II.

The 29-year-old actress joins the brand's current global ambassador, Aussie actor Cate Blanchett, as a face of P&G's high end brand.

"I have been using the SK-II line for 10 years now and the benefits and the joys of that keep increasing," says Blanchett. "I didn't know what crystal clear skin was until I started using SK-II.  Now I can't live without it."

Bosworth has previously modelled for fashion label Clavin Klein. Her clear skin and natural look makes her a good choice for her latest pitching role.

Bosworth tweeted throughout her first shoot for SK-II.... "First day of our SKI-II shoot! The star received VERY special treatment... ;)," Bosworth posted about the product she's pitching.

"Bobby pins coming out in shower this morning though I showered after SK-II shoot last night."

On the shoot Bosworth tweeted: "A huge thank you my nearest and dearest for a wonderful 2nd shoot day complete for SK-II."

Crossfire Hurricane, which takes its title from the opening lines of “Jumping Jack Flash”, provides a remarkable new perspective on The Rolling Stones’ unparalleled journey from blues-obsessed teenagers in the early 60s to rock royalty for almost five decades. AUSTRALIAN SINGING COMPETITION SELECTS FIVE FINALIST FOR FINALS CONCERT AT SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

Last night, Wednesday 10 October at the Independent Theatre, North Sydney, ten outstanding young opera and classical singers all aged under 26 years sang their hearts out to be chosen as one of five finalists who will compete in this year’s IFAC Australian Singing Competition – the richest competition for opera and classical singers in Australasia.

The finalists include 25 year old Mezzo Soprano Anna Dowsley from NSW; 21 year old Bass Baritone Jeremy Kleeman and 22 Mezzo Soprano Charlotte Betts-Dean from Victoria; 22 year old Soprano Tabatha McFadyen from Queensland and 22 year old Tenor, Thomas Atkins from New Zealand.

The five finalists will compete in the Finals Concert to be held at Sydney Opera House on THURSDAY 25 October accompanied by the Australian Opera & Ballet Orchestra to be conducted by Johannes Fritzsch with Guy Noble as Compere. 

Scores of young singers from Australasia auditioned.  The ten semi-finalists performed in front of a packed audience at the Independent Theatre and were judged by National Adjudicator Jeffrey Black who was joined by Peter Czornyj, Director of Artistic Planning, Sydney Symphony; Anthony Legge, Associate Music Director of Opera Australia and Michael Halliwell, Associate Professor of Vocal Studies & Opera at Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Celebrating its 31st year the ASC has showcased 2,600 singers since 1982 who have competed for more than $2.8 million in prizes.  In 2012 the ASC prize pool is valued at over $220,000. After winning the Australian Singing Competition, singers such as Rachelle Durkin, Amelia Farrugia, Stuart Skelton and Paul Whelan have all gone on to achieve national and international acclaim.
