Friday 24 February, 2012 – More than 100,000 fans can’t be wrong! Australia has been in the grip of Roxette fever since their first Australian show in Brisbane on Valentine’s Day. The love for Roxette continued around the country, receiving rave reviews everywhere they played, leaving fans on their feet, wanting more.

Super-fast ticket sales saw Roxette sell out shows all over Australia, their first Australian tour since 1995. Fans still have the chance to re-live the memories as a final release of tickets has just been released for their last three Australian shows - two in Perth and one more show in Sydney.

Roxette fans around the country have taken to Twitter to show their love and appreciation for the band, with “Roxette” trending in every city they played.

“Dressed for Success had one of the most rapturous reactions Rod Laver Arena has seen in years … You can’t imagine the mass frenzy the return of Roxette caused.” Cameron Adams, Herald Sun

“The screams which greeted their arrival on stage and opening track Dressed For Success had me contemplating ear plugs. They were piercing and ecstatic. Roxette's Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle deliver more of a rock show than their pop peers.” Kathy McCabe, Daily Telegraph

“They are so popular that they are coming back to play the same venue next week. Memory is a powerful drug and none of these 10,000 people have forgotten any of the words.” Noel Mengel, Courier Mail

“Their voices have remained as flawless as when they once ruled the charts. And from the opening "yeah, yeah, yeah" of Dressed For Success, the large crowd started dancing and hardly stopped.” Sam Kelton, Adelaide Advertiser

“Best moment of Roxette so far? Several thousand people singing "Must have been love" acapella. You can't be cynical about that pop pretty.” Zan Rowe, Triple J (Twitter)

Joining Roxette for these special Australian shows are 1927. Get there early to ensure you don’t miss them sing their classics including hit singles If I Could, That’s When I Think of You, You’ll Never Know and Compulsory Hero, which still remain fan favourites more than 20 years after their release.

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, who make up Roxette, came out of Sweden in the late ’80s. Their game was pop and their mission was to conquer the world. With 33 chart-busting singles and total record sales of 75 million, it seems safe to say, “mission accomplished”. Except for one thing - it ain’t over yet!

“The concerts have been amazing so far,” says Per Gessle. “Marie and the band are in top shape and the response has been incredible.”

With a catalogue of mega hits, including It Must Have Been Love, Joyride, Listen To Your Heart, How Do You Do, Sleeping In My Car, Dressed For Success and The Look, this tour is set to be one of THE live events of the 2012 calendar. So rush to your nearest ticket outlet now and don’t miss this joyride! (Tickets also available at the venue.)
