Actor Ryan Reynolds will walk the red carpet in Melbourne, on August 9, and Sydney, on August 10, to promote his new film, Green Lantern (out August 11).
Stepping into action mode, Reynolds plays a test pilot who gains superhero powers when he's sworn into a virtuous brotherhood called the Green Lantern Corp. The film also stars Blake Lively who plays Carol, a fellow test pilot and childhood love interest.
Green Latern recently opened with a bang at the US box office, taking the number-one spot (beating Jim Carrey's Mr. Popper's Penguins and Steven Spielberg's Super 8), and is expected to do just as well here.
