Sound of Melbourne Records is celebrating its launch with the release of its very first record, Sampler 2011 this weekend at Pure Pop Records in St Kilda. Sampler 2011 is a compilation album of 13 unsigned Melbourne/Victorian independent artist's released on both CD and old school vinyl, with a 24-page booklet and free art prints.
To launch the Sounds of Melbourne Sampler 2011, eight of the 13 artists included on the album will showcase their music as part of a special launch weekend with free performances today and tomorrow.
